Spring Fling 2019
Prince George County Public Schools students and fine arts teachers invites you and your family to our 2019 Spring Fling Fine Arts Festival on Saturday, March 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Prince George High School located at 7801 Laurel Spring Road.
This event showcases Kindergarten through 12th-grade students in the visual and performing arts. The Spring Fling is free to the public, however, we charge tickets for the activity tables and concessions to raise money for our Fine Arts Educators’ Scholarship program for graduating PG seniors who plan to pursue a career in the arts. Last year, one senior was awarded $800 each to go towards their college expenses.
Tickets for the activities and concessions can be purchased in the main lobby (between the gym and the auditorium) for $.50 per ticket. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Prince George County Public Schools’ codes and policies still apply for this event. All festival guests must leave school grounds by 2:45 pm or they will be considered trespassing.
In addition to student artwork on display throughout the building and performances in the auditorium & gym, there will be a lot of fun things to see and do in the cafeteria! Folks can listen and watch musical performances from bands, choir, and theater groups, talk to representatives from local youth arts outreach programs at their information tables. People can have their face painted, dive into our photo booth, and make many different pieces of art, and more! Hungry? We will have plenty of hot dogs, snacks, and drinks available.
We encourage you all to stop by Prince George High School on March 9th to support PGCPS talented youth, hard-working fine arts teachers, and our fine arts scholarship program.
