Broderick started his Scouting career in 2014 as a Tiger Cub with Pack 910, where he progressed through the ranks of Wolf, Bear, and Webelos I and II.  He earned the Arrow of Light Award, the highest honor in Cub Scouting, before crossing over to Troop 900 in 2019. He also helped with the Eagle Scout ceremony at Randolph-Macon College as an Honor Guard. He has also completed a 50-mile hike on the Appalachian Trail, and he spent the past two summers working at Pipsico Scout Reservation as a Merit Badge Counselor for Emergency Preparedness. Additionally, Broderick received the Ad Altare Dei religious emblem through the Church of the Sacred Heart, deepening his understanding of the Catholic faith.

For his Eagle Scout project, Broderick planned, designed, and constructed three benches with umbrella holders for the playground at Lakeview Elementary in the City of Colonial Heights.

Beyond his Scouting activities, Broderick has been a member of the Prince George High School varsity volleyball program for three years. He is also a member of the Chamber Choir at Prince George High School. His future plans upon graduation in 2026 include attending a four-year college to major in business and to continue to play volleyball. He hopes to own his own electric business in the future.
