Prince George County Public Schools' 2024-25 School Year Calendar is now available for viewing and download on the division's website following the Prince George School Board's approval of the 12-month calendar in January.

Mrs. Newman has been part of the Prince George County Public Schools community for the last three years, serving as a learning specialist during that time at L.L. Beazley Elementary School.

The school's new little free library was installed in honor of Catherine Grace Yancey, who passed away in 2022 from health complications. The library was donated to South Elementary by the Yancey family as a memorial to their young daughter.

The high school's innovative sports marketing program has added Sports & Entertainment Management to its offerings, giving students hands-on experiences at event planning and execution, along with sports-focused digital content creation.

Students from J.E.J. Moore Middle School entered ten bridges into the contest, with seventh graders Karaline Bailey and Erin Middlebrooks placing first and second in the efficiency rating awards. Sixth graders Abby Boggs, Brooke Mobley, and Amber Ziegenfuss were also recognized as having the event's most aesthetically pleasing bridge.

During February, Middle Road Elementary School teamed up with Prince George High School and senior Olivia Gilbert to collect foods to help stock the food bank's shelves, bringing in hundreds of pounds of food, along with big contributions from Food Lion Distribution Center & Fort Gregg-Adams.

The nature trail at Harrison Elementary School was created in the spring of 2023, located on the northern end of the campus. The generous funding from Parker Oil and Propane will help support the trail's continued evolution, benefiting Harrison's students for years to come.

Prince George extends their regional runner-up performance to two consecutive years, establishing the Royals as a strong competitor across Region 5C and a potential contender for states in future years.
