Curiosity was on full display at L.L. Beazley Elementary School on Thursday, February 26, 2026, as the school’s cafeteria came alive with student-led science experiments and interactive learning as part of the Lions' science fair.

Families and community members attended the event, including members of the Prince George County School Board and Prince George County School Board Office staff, who explored the various presentations and engaged with students as they explained their projects. Throughout the fair, students confidently demonstrated their scientific knowledge and enthusiasm for discovery.

For Beazley students in Pre-K through third grade, each classroom collaborated to produce a science project, while students in fourth and fifth grade independently designed and presented their own individual projects. Over 150 scientific displays were featured during the day-long event.

Projects covered a wide range of topics, from the water cycle and buoyancy to aerodynamics and how temperature can affect the distance a baseball travels when thrown. Each display highlighted a unique question or challenge, encouraging meaningful conversations between students and visitors.

The Science Fair put students’ understanding of the scientific method on full display. Participants shared how they observed the world around them, asked questions, developed hypotheses, tested predictions, recorded results, and drew conclusions based on their findings.

The event celebrated not only scientific learning, but also critical thinking, communication skills, and a growing sense of confidence, making the Science Fair a memorable experience for students, families, and the broader school community.
