The Finance Department manages the financial operations of Prince George County Public Schools and helps ensure resources are available to support students, staff, and schools. The department oversees the division's budget, payroll, purchasing, accounting, financial reporting, and grant management activities while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Finance works behind the scenes to process employee pay, pay vendor invoices, support school and department purchases, prepare financial reports, and develop the annual operating budget. The department also provides financial information and resources to staff, families, community members, and other stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability.

By carefully managing public funds and supporting the day-to-day financial needs of the division, the Finance Department helps ensure that resources are used effectively to advance student success.
