Mrs. Lisa Dean, a custodian serving multiple campuses and facilities across the district, has been selected as Prince George County Public Schools’ 2026 Division Support Employee of the Year during a special ceremony at the Prince George County School Board regular business meeting on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Regularly stepping in wherever support is needed, Mrs. Dean helps ensure our schools remain clean, safe, and ready for learning each day. Their flexibility and reliability make them an invaluable member of our Custodial Services department.

Beyond their daily responsibilities, Mrs. Dean is known for providing service with a smile. Whether greeting students in the hallway or assisting staff throughout the building, she brings a positive, welcoming presence that helps make each school feel like home. Their approachable nature and genuine care for others do not go unnoticed.

Mrs. Dean’s commitment extends well beyond the school day. A regular volunteer for after-hours activities, she is often present at school and community events, lending her time and energy to support students and families. Their willingness to go above and beyond reflects a deep dedication to the entire Prince George community.

No matter the task, Mrs. Dean is always ready to offer a helping hand. From stepping in at different campuses to assisting wherever needed, her teamwork and dependability strengthen every school they serve. Prince George County Public Schools is grateful for their continued dedication and the meaningful difference they make across our division.

Annually, PGCPS' schools and support facilities select their Teacher and Support Employee of the Year following a nomination and selection process in late winter. These individuals are then entered for potential selection as the division's Teacher and Support Employee of the Year later in the spring. During the Monday, April 13, 2026, Prince George County School Board meeting, the following employees were recognized as Support Employees of the Year at their respective locations:

• Courtney Groves, Office Associate, N.B. Clements Junior High School
• Rebecca Elmore, Paraprofessional, Prince George Education Center
• Tori Masterson, Office Associate, Prince George High School
• Jeanette Spicer, Administrative Associate, Pupil Transportation
• Lisa Dean, Custodian, School Board Office

These individuals will also be recognized during the division’s annual Royal Recognition Reception at Prince George High School on Thursday, May 7, 2026, a special event that celebrates the talented individuals who support the children of Prince George County and our community.
