As we prepare for the start of another exciting school year, we’re looking forward to welcoming students and families back to our schools on Monday, August 24, 2026. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we want to make sure you have all the information you need to start the year with confidence.

During orientation sessions, you can:

• Tour the school building and classrooms
• Meet teachers, counselors, and staff
• Get your questions answered
• Learn about extracurricular opportunities, including athletics and clubs

We encourage families to attend their child's orientation session. These events are designed to make the first day of school a smooth and positive experience for our whole community.

Orientation Schedules
Please see below for the schedule of orientation events for each school. Please note, times for elementary school grade-level sessions and Moore Middle School 6th grade sessions have been added. Review those as you plan to attend these sessions. 

Prince George Education Center
Prince George Education Center’s “Campus Connect Days,” are currently being scheduled. PGEC families should check back regularly for updates and look for communication from the campus.

Time: Morning Hours, Approximately 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. (See specific grade-level times below)

• L.L. Beazley Elementary Grade-Level Session Times
  • Pre-Kindergarten & ECSE: 9:00-10:00 am in the library 
  • Kindergarten, First & Second Grades: 9:00-10:00 am in the cafeteria 
  • Case Manager Meet & Greet: 10:00-10:30 am in the library 
  • Third, Fourth & Fifth Grades:  10:30-11:30 am in cafeteria
  • All students in Grades K-5 will begin in the cafeteria for a brief presentation, then be released to their classrooms.
• David A. Harrison Elementary Grade-Level Session Times
  • Pre-Kingergarten: 8:00-9:00 am - Please meet in the cafeteria first.
  • Kindergarten: 8:30-9:30 am  - Please meet in the cafeteria first.
  • First and Second Grades: 9:00-10:15 am - Please meet in the cafeteria first.
    • Classroom presentations at 9:15 am and 9:45 am.
  • Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades - 10:15-11:30 am - Please meet in the cafeteria first.

  • Case Manager Meet & Greet: 9:30 am - Please meet in the library

• Note: Short welcome sessions will be held in the gym at 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm. You should only plan on attending the session assigned to your student’s team. Students and families will then have the opportunity to meet their teachers.
