Prince George County Public Schools (PGCPS) invites parents, guardians, educators, and community members to attend its upcoming Title I Parent Advisory Committee Meeting on Friday, October 23, 2026.

Meeting Details
- Date: Friday, October 23, 2026
- Time: 9–10 a.m.
- Location: Prince George County School Board Office
- 6410 Courts Drive, Prince George, VA 23875
Meeting Agenda and Key Topics
During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and provide feedback on several topics, including:
Title I Program Overview
An overview of Title I federal funding allocations, schoolwide planning priorities, and family engagement initiatives for the 2026–2027 school year.
Review of Proposed Ed-Flex Waiver Request
PGCPS is preparing an Ed-Flex waiver application through the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to request flexibility regarding the carryover of unused Title I, Part A funds from the 2025 grant year.
The waiver would allow the division to exceed the standard 15% limit on carrying over unused funds into the current funding cycle. These funds would support targeted reading and mathematics interventions, instructional resources, and initiatives designed to improve student achievement in Title I schools.
Stakeholder Feedback and Public Comment
Parents, guardians, and community members will have an opportunity to review the proposed waiver, ask questions, and provide feedback regarding the division's federal funding priorities.
How to Share Your Feedback
Community members are encouraged to participate in the planning process by providing feedback through one of the following options:
- Attend in Person: Join the October 23 meeting and share feedback during the public comment portion.
- Email or Mail: Submit written comments to Jennifer Rollings, Title I/Federal Programs Coordinator, at jrollings@pgs.k12.va.us, or mail comments to the PGCPS School Board Office at the address listed above.
- Complete the Community Survey: Share feedback through the PGCPS 2026–2027 Family and Community Federal Programs Survey.
